He turns to an examination of unconditional eternal security as Calvinism teaches, but offers real hope by taking the position that although unconditional eternal security is unscriptural, there is a true, scriptural doctrine that ensures the security of the believer. He maintains that a life of holiness will guarantee, based on the promises of God’s Word, that the believer will be free from the guilt and power of sin in this life, and ultimately find a home in heaven. Along the way he considers the “why” and “wherefore” of entire sanctification, and the influence of a holy life. This is classic Yocum as so many loved him.
