Evangelist Christian Wismer Ruth was ever intent on the application of the Second Blessing in the everyday lives of Believers, whether it affected the way they conducted their secular business, their functions within the local church, or the culture at large. His discussions are well-salted with everyday illustrations that establish the point he discusses in each chapter of this book. Throughout everything he says, though, the joy of the Lord bubbles unmistakably. Ruth plainly was not a “sour Christian.” Bible Readings on the Second Blessing is like sitting in the congregation as the great evangelist filled the pulpit. Though preached more than a century ago, these topics are still just as fresh and vibrant as they were then. (619X / 168 pages) Trade paperback.
